Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB): 20 Jan 2027

Arrival in UB.

Narantuul Market to buy warm clothes. Welcome dinner and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight: Hotel Nine

Day 2 - 21 Jan 2027

Domestic flight available on Monday or Friday/

Breakfast and drive to the airport. Lunch at the airport and commercial flight to Murun city. Check-in the hotel and dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 3 – 22 Jan 2027

After breakfast, we will embark on our journey to Ulaan-Uul village. We’ll have lunch on the road while covering a distance of 180 km on an off-road route. Along the way, we’ll have opportunities to stop for landscape photography.

Today, we will enter the Darkhad Valley, a picturesque area surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Our accommodation for the night will be at a local small hostel. We’ll provide warm camel sleeping bags for your comfort, and the hostel is equipped with a chimney heater to keep us cozy. Our host will prepare a delicious dinner for us.

Day 4 - 23 Jan 2027

In the morning, after having breakfast, our journey will take us to Zuun Taiga, passing through Tsagaan Nuur village. We’ll cover a distance of approximately 110 km on an off-road route. Late in the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to meet the reindeer people. Today is a day for relaxation and capturing the beauty of the Taiga and its people through photography or the video.

Our accommodation for the night will be in wooden. Additionally, for those interested, there is the option to stay in a tipi. Each cabin can accommodate 4-5 beds, providing sleeping arrangements for us. Our chef will be on hand to prepare meals for us.

Day 5 - 24 Jan 2027

For the next day, we will be immersing ourselves in the world of the Reindeer people, capturing their way of life. Our tour leader will guide us to various locations to capture diverse scenes and moments. Visit all the families of Taiga. You can see their lifestyle and daily routine.

Day 6 - 25 Jan 2027

After morning shoot with Reindeer tribe we will heading to Renchinlumbe town. We going to see beautiful winter running creek. It’s a beautiful landscape. Afternoon we drive to our comfortable camp after driving on the frozen lake Khuvsgul.

Overnight: Toilogt tourist camp

Day 7 – 26 Jan 2027

Relaxing day: Ice skating, horse sled, visit Shaman family. Optional day. Rest in the camp.

Day 8 - 27 Jan 2027

Today we drive to Erdenet city and take train to UB.

Overnight: Train

Day 9 - 28 Jan 2027

Today arrive in Ulaanbaatar train station. Drive to the hotel and free afternoon. Farewell dinner.

*If there are no other participants of the same gender available to share accommodation with you, you will automatically be assigned a single room for the duration of the trip. In such cases, the applicable single room supplement (single occupancy fee) will be applied.*

What Do We Bring

Gear:
– DSLR camera with tripod and remote shutter release
– A wide angle lens. For example, Nikkor 14-24 or Canon 17-40. Best lens for use in wide-angle scenes or architecture photography
– A middle-zoom lens such as a 24-70 mm
– A telephoto zoom lens, such as a 70-200 mm

– Drone if you have ( useful for taking aerial shots in Gobi desert )

Wear:
– Waterproof and windproof jacket (consider the average temperatures -20 C)
– Waterproof pants
– Warm down-jacket and thermal pants
– Casual clothes for dinners and lunches and photography workshops

  • Extra baggage charge (Limit of baggage in Domestic flight is 15kg total carry on and check in), around 2-5 usd charge per extra kg paid by credit card at the airport

Cancellation INFORMATION

Cancellation of service before departure

You have to give 90 days’ notice before the beginning date of the tour and you will be refunded your full deposit payment minus transaction charges.

75 days or more: 75% refund

60 days or more: 50% refund

Less than 60 days: no refund

Cancellation of service in case of force majeure

In case of force majeure such as natural disasters, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, wars, terrorism, epidemics. In order to ensure the safety of the trip, we reserve the right to unilaterally cancel the committed service. We will refund 100% of the tour cost that the customer has paid. We will not be responsible for related costs (e.g. travel expenses, airfare…).
